Steaua lose to rivals Dinamo

Steaua lose the supercup on a scoreline of 3-2. by Gareth Penrose

Steaua lost their last warm-up game before taking on Shelbourne on Wednesday night in the second leg of the Champions League second round match, and in the process conceded the Romanian Supercup to arch rivals, Dinamo Bucharest.

Steaua went into a 2-1 lead, with goals coming from Dica and Iacob. However they failed to hold on to their advantage. Two attacks straight through the middle of the Steaua defence yielded two goals for Dinamo. Steaua manager, Oleg Provassov will be unhappy at his side conceding two weak goals and losing the game going into Wednesday’s must win game.
