Bray Wanderers v Shelbourne
Friday 8th March, 2013
Shelbourne kick off the 2013 season with an away trip to Bray Wanderers.
Hopefully, after the 4 month break, we can rely on a sizeable travelling support to get behind the team as we look to start the season with 3 points.
Ahead of the game, Bray Wanderers have advised that for those travelling by car to the ground, there are currently roadworks as you come into Bray, which may cause delays. Therefore fans travelling by car may wish to allow additional time. We have also been advised that one of the main car parks along the seafront is currently undergoing some work, so parking may be more restricted than normal. Bray Wanderer's advice to travelling fans is to travel by DART where possible.
For fans planning to travel to the game, but who are unfamiliar with Bray, the ground can be accessed as follows:
All DART trains south-bound from Dublin stop at Bray Station. Journey times vary: from Dublin city centre it takes roughly 45 minutes.
When you arrive at Bray Station, leave by the main exit and turn right. The entrance and turnstiles are visible from there.
Most south-east-bound trains stop at Bray, as do most trains from the south-east to Dublin.
Take the M50 or N11 southbound from Dublin. Exit at Bray North, take the 2nd exit at the Bray approach roundabout. Drive straight for approx 3 minutes, then cross the Dargle bridge and turn left at the second set of lights on the Main Street (Royal Hotel corner), drive down the Quinnsboro Road. The Carlisle is on your left just before the level crossing at Bray rail Station.
The 145 operates from Heuston Station/O'Connell Street via N11 to Bray. The bus stops in the Main Street. Turn left onto Quinnsboro Road. The Carlisle is about a four minute walk down the road on your left just before the level crossing at Bray Railway Station.
We hope to see as many of you as possible in Bray on Friday.
