SSDG Working Groups

At present SSDG are involved in the setting up of a number of Sub Committees or Working Groups and would like as many Shelbourne fans as possible to get involved,

The Match Programme team will meet on a regular basis over the 2007 season and discuss matters relating to design, sponsorship, sales and content of the Shelbourne Programme. If you have skills in any of the required areas or would be interested in helping out in any way please contact John Coleman at ssdgprogramme@gmail.com

In an effort to increase the amount of young fans who attend Shelbourne games a Junior Season Ticket team will meet to discuss ways to grow our younger fan base. It’s important that we continue to work in the community and get as many fans involved with Shelbourne as early as possible. If you have any thoughts on this or would be interested in helping out please contact Paul Byrne at ssdgjunior@gmail.com

As funds were re-directed to other areas, it is noticeable that Tolka Park, lacking its usual sparkle, requires attention. A Ground Maintenance team will look into the possibility of refurbishing certain areas, depending on how much longer the current Board of Management envisages us residing in Tolka Park. The group will work closely with the Board of Management if ever funding is required for any of these refurbishments and at all times weigh up the costs involved with time remaining at Tolka Park. To get involved in this area please contact John Mernock at ssdgground@gmail.com

In order to help the group financially, an Event team will shortly meet to discuss ways in which we can increase revenue. If you have some suggestions in this area or experiences in running fundraising events, large or small, we would be delighted to hear from you. Contact Fintan Leonard at ssdgevent@gmail.com

Further details can be obtained from the above email addresses or by contacting a member of the SSDG committee.

These working groups are not exclusive to SSDG members and hopefully are the first of many such groups to come. SSDG will continue to work with the Shelbourne Board of Management and investigate all possible ways in which Shelbourne supporters can increase their involvement in the running of Shelbourne FC and bring us back to where we belong, at the very top of Irish football.
