Dave Henderson has been appointed as Head of Football Operations for the Club.
Dave worked as the club’s Head of Recruitment for the 2018 season where his vast experience and depth of knowledge of the League of Ireland and talent acquisition made him an integral part of the management team.
In assuming the role of Head of Football Operations, Dave will oversee player and coaching development, and player and coach pathways, within the Men’s Senior setup and our underage National League teams. He will be tasked with leading the development of the Club’s National League structures, so that coaches and players can fulfil their potential.
Dave will continue to work closely with Head Coach, Ian Morris, in relation to player recruitment for the Men’s Senior Team.
In confirming the news, Shelbourne FC Chief Executive, David O’Connor said, ‘I am delighted to have secured a person of Dave’s calibre for the coming seasons. Dave has established himself as one of the most trusted and knowledgeable figures in the League of Ireland fraternity in recent years and has vast experience, and proven success, in recognising and working with the best young players in Ireland.
